Senior Account Manager / Account Director

full time - Manchester

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and talented individual to join the Visual Method team in our Manchester office. The role is perfectly suited to a Senior Account Manager, with experience of handling major client accounts without having received the role recognition for doing so, looking for the opportunity to step up to an Account Director role within a fast growing and dynamic business, or an Account Director with 1-2 years’ experience looking to join a fast evolving business, taking on the challenge to be a key part of the next phase of the companies growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role involves working alongside the Business Development Director to head up the client facing side of the agency
  • Proactively developing current client relationships to their maximum potential and assisting in new business acquisition, agency pitches and the implementation of the new business strategy
  • Ensuring client satisfaction and the efficient delivery of client projects across the business
  • Management of internal budgets, effective and on budget project delivery, quoting projects for new and existing clients and effective cost management
  • Working with the management team to deliver the development plans Visual Method has set out for the next phase of business growth
  • Managing existing talent within the client facing team, as well as proactively developing and growing the team alongside the business’ growth
  • Ensuring the effective integration and internal communication between the client facing and production teams of the business
  • Ability to work alone or collaboratively, having the skills to mentor junior memberHelping the management team to evolve, improve and implement developments in the studio workflow and effective client management processess of the team and develop talent within the business

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 years + agency experience in a content production environment
  • Experience of developing and overseeing key client accounts
  • Excellent communications skills and a track record of building and maintaining existing relationships in the industry is expected
  • Strong knowledge of sales strategies and concepts is required
  • Management of photography, image and video or content creation projects is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • A background having spent time managing production projects, CPA’s, budgets and delivering to and above client expectations is essential
  • An understanding of CGI technology, broad horizons and a willingness to adapt and learn
  • Relevant tertiary qualification/ diploma or similar in sales, advertising or marketing is beneficial but not essential


  • Strong IT literacy and experience in MS office are essential
  • Experience of Adobe CS is beneficial
  • A creative eye and the ability to lead the account management team, driving the business in a positive direction
  • Outstanding attention to detail, self-motivation and a passion to deliver the very highest quality work
  • Understanding of 3D software and applications of cgi
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to multitask overseeing several key client accounts simultaneously
  • Time management skills and implementation of project CPA’s
